Our network generates new knowledge through three interconnected research streams and a hub that translates research outcomes into real-world practice.

Stream 1
Augmented Working
This stream investigates what people do (the ‘what’) and how they work with technologies (the ‘how’), with the aim of understanding how to achieve safe and productive human-machine partnerships.

Stream 2
Networked Workplaces
This stream explores the impact of workplaces expanding across time (‘when’ people work) and space (‘where’ people work).

Stream 3
Future-ready Workforce
This stream focuses on supporting Australian workers through capability transitions — shaping the ‘who’ of future work.

Design in Action Hub
The Hub focuses on applying the new knowledge generated in the research streams via influencing policy, education and practice
